Building Community Resilience: Climate Change and Equity
COVID has effected our health, social, and economic systems in unprecedented ways. To bounce forward (not back) there is an immense opportunity to reflect on key weaknesses in supply chains, in outsourced production and consumption, in ways that we as individuals spend our time and our money. Extremely importantly, COVID exposes weaknesses created by the growing disparity and inequities in our communities and societies. It showcases how vulnerable many of our community members are – the elderly, poor, and disenfranchised, running along ethnic and gender lines. Join FlipSide Sustainability’s Dr. Alison Shaw and colleague, Deborah Harford, as they co-host an interactive webinar with leading climate change and equity expert, Dr. Edward Cameron, to reflect on this moment and this opportunity to build equity back into our community and societal systems.
